The Albuquerque Aquarium is one of the attractions found at the Albuquerque Biological Park. Also located at the park are Tingley Beach, the Rio Grande Zoo and the Rio Grande Botanic Garden.
One of the most popular exhibits found in the Albuquerque Aquarium is its 285,000-gallon ocean tank, in which sea turtles, various species of reef fish, and nurse, blacktip, sandtiger, and brown sharks swim around. The ocean tank is one of the two tanks that make up the Rio Grande at Central Bridge exhibit area. Its backdrop includes the skyline of Albuquerque?s early days, complete with its own 1950 Hudson.
Also found in the aquarium is the Rio Grande Cutthroat Trout Stream exhibit area, which boasts of living trees, fallen logs, and a forest mural as its backdrop.
