There may be tons of other hot springs along and below the Rio Grande Gorge, but the Black Rock Hot Springs is still the most accessible of them all. This may both be a good and bad thing, especially if you?re looking for a secluded spot, but it?s an overall plus for those who want to get a quick experience of these natural wonders.

The Black Rock Hot Springs is basically a series of hot springs along the side of Rio Grande. It is accessible when the river water is low. Some of the pools can be up to 4 feet deep at times.

Most of the Black Rock Hot Springs are primitive, natural pools, but there is one pool that is continuously being reconstructed to hold the hot-spring water.
