Santa Rosa, New Mexico is known as the ?City of Natural Lakes". This is why it isn?t surprising to find a number of them around. However, the Blue Hole stands out from the rest due to its characteristics. Only measuring a teeny 60 feet in diameter, it is 81 feet deep, making it a scuba diving mecca in the midst of an area filled with ranches.

As the Southwest isn?t exactly populated with water holes for scuba diving enthusiasts to practice in, the Blue Hole has really made a name for itself. Add to this the fact that the pond has 80? visibility if undisturbed and a constant 64 degrees temperature, it really sets the right conditions for such hobbyists. Hundreds of divers flock here on weekends.
