The Bluewater Lake State Park is a state park in Prewitt, New Mexico. It is located in the Zuni Mountains and covers about 3000 acres of area, wherein 1200 acres is composed of the lake.

Popular for its great scenery and year-round fishing, the Bluewater Lake State Park is a haven for anglers and boating enthusiasts. Folks visit the site to catch rainbow trout, catfish, and cutthroat and native trout on the Bluewater Lake and Bluewater Creek. These two bodies of water are stocked with these specimens, some even weighing up to 9 pounds. Ice fishing is also a popular sport during the winter months.

Aside from the fish, the Bluewater Lake State Park is also known for its wildlife and bird. Birdwatchers usually visit the site during the annual migrations.
