The Capilla Peak Observatory is an astronomical observatory and research facility in Estancia, New Mexico. It is nestled right among the Manzano Mountains, situated in a highly conducive spot for astronomical study.

Owned and operated by the University of New Mexico, the Capilla Peak Observatory is almost exclusively open primarily to the staff, students, and faculty of the university only. However, proposals to collaborate with the managing division, the Physics and Astronomy Department, are possible.

The Capilla Peak Observatory features a 61 cm or 24 inch Boller & Chivens Cassegrain telescope. Inquiries about using the facility should be directed to the faculty and staff members of the Physics and Astronomy Department of the University of New Mexico. Access to the venue is limited, as mentioned above, so contact the authorities first before visiting.
