The Capitan Public Library is a place where it is claimed that all great things happen. It is more than just a public service library amongst all others belonging to the Lincoln County for it is also a place where the most educational events happen that bind the community together. It was started way back in 1996 and since then has become a regularly evolving resource center for the community. They carry out the mission of enriching the lives of the majority in the community.

They welcome everyone to use the library and take part in its events and programs. They have recently gone through a pleasant expansion with the help and support of the community members. You can do some book drops if you want to be contributory to their expansion. They are closed during holidays but they have a wide array of services and programs that they offer to kids and adults. They also have already Internet access to keep up with the ever changing times of this era that revolves around modern technology.
