The Deming Luna Mimbres Museum was founded for the documentation of the everyday lives of the citizens of Deming as well as the Mimbres Valley. It has featured a variety of exhibits that showcase antique office machines, pottery, and other artifacts dating as far back as 1000 years ago.

The Museum attracts visitors because of its dedication to the people?s lives as well as to the history of the buildings, wars, events, and others. It tells people about the old time including what the Main Street looked like, the role of Deming in military history, its culture, and other details that would give people an idea of how it must be like to be in that period.

Named after the City of Deming, the County of Luna, and the Mimbres Valley, the Museum occupies the National Guard Armory across the Custom House and the archives.

Today, the Museum boasts of 5 major additions, including an art gallery, a military room, a ranching exhibit room, main street displays, and a transportation room. It has also acquired the Custom House and Archives.
