The El Camino Real International Heritage Center is a history museum in Socorro, New Mexico. It tells of the history and heritage of the individuals who traveled through the El Camino Real trail during the 18th century.

The El Camino Real International Heritage Center may seem like a simple commemorative site for those who have no idea what the El Camino Real trail is, but it is actually one of the most important part of the state?s history. The trail led to the colonization of New Mexico, as it paved the way to the settlement of the area.

Designated as a New Mexico State Monument, the El Camino Real International Heritage Center showcases several exhibits and artifacts about the people who traveled the trail. Items on display include an exhibit about non-motorized travel, telling the public about how difficult it was to traverse the local terrain back in the day. There?s also an outdoor ampitheater that features traditional music.
