The El Morro National Monument is a US National Monument in Ramah, New Mexico. It is best known for being a popular campsite all thanks to a reliable waterhole located at the base of the sandstone bluff.

The special thing about the El Morro National Monument is that it has been used as a campsite for hundreds of years now. This is evidenced by the signatures that can be found on the El Morro (as the Spaniards would call it) or the Inscription Rock (as christened by Anglo-American travelers). There are over two thousand signatures in the shaded oasis, some of which dates back to the 17th century. There are also petroglyphs found on the site, which dates further back than the European colonization era.
