El Museo Cultura de Santa Fe describes itself as something that?s more akin to a community center rather than the typical museum. They also refer to itself as a centre for Hispanic culture as well as learning and celebrates not just the culture of Santa Fe or New Mexico but also other traditions native to Latin America in general.

El Museo Santa Fe transferred to its present location in 2004 and began as a tiny gallery. With the help of numerous volunteers, El Museo had gradually turned the 32,000 square foot structure, which once served as a liquor house, into a full-service museum and offering even a theatre facility that can accommodate up to 200 guests. Nowadays, the Santa Fe museum also serves as the regular venue for the Veterans for Peace local chapter as well as the Contemporary Hispanic Market for the winter.
