The Farmington Museum at Gateway Park on Main Street hosts the Farmington Convention & Visitor's Bureau. The facility features 2 permanent exhibits, "From Dinosaurs to Drill Bits" and "Farmington: 100 Years of Change." Aside from these, visitors to the Museum can engage in its indoor and outdoor events that are held throughout the year. The Museum also houses "Currents," its Museum store.

Inside, From Dinosaurs to Drill Bits provides the oil and gas story of the San Juan Basin. It uses the latest in technology in so that it can effectively narrate, educate and entertain the visitors about this daily resource. Visitors can find it exciting as they experience riding deep into the earth in searching for oil on a simulated floor shaking activity. They also get to witness how it is to be digging for black gold which is transformed into consumer products.

Visitors who would like to enrich their knowledge on the history of Farmington will get the opportunity to know the town?s past from, starting from early pioneer settlement up to the present day.
