The Fenton Lake State Park is a state park in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. It is best known as a fishing destination, although, it offers much more than just fishing.
The Fenton Lake State Park was originally owned by the State Game and Fish to serve as a habitat for migratory waterfowl and as a reserve for other animals. However, in time, it has been developed to add extra features, making it the recreation area that it is today. It is home to several wildlife, including turkey, waterfowl, deer, elk, bobcat, and muskrat among others.
The Fenton Lake State Park is also home to a cross country ski and biathlon trail. It is also ideal for camping, hiking, picnicking, and other winter sports.
