The Heron Lake State Park is a state park in Los Ojos, New Mexico. It features the picturesque Heron Lake as its centerpiece.

Named after the early 1900s engineer Kenneth A. Heron who pioneered the creation of water diversion from the north to the dry regions of the south, the Heron Lake State Park offers several recreational activities to its visitors. It is most popular for sailing, canoeing, and kayaking. Boating is also a popular thing to do around the site, although the Heron Lake is designated as a ?quiet lake?, so speeds are regulated and are requested to adhere to the park rules. Activities like fishing, cross-country skiing, and hiking are also possible here. Visitors can also experience camping, windsurfing, wildlife viewing, and ice fishing at the site.
