The Las Vegas National Wildlife Refuge is a protected area in Las Vegas, New Mexico. It is best known for its excellent location, making it a great spot for natural habitats.

Established in 1965, the Las Vegas National Wildlife Refuge is nestled between the Great Plains, Rocky Mountains, and the Chihuahuan desert. This provides it great diversity, making it rich with plant and animal life. It was created initially to provide a home for migratory birds, but soon enough protected 8672 acres worth of land area that is composed of croplands, ponds, marshes, grasslands, streams, and timbered canyons. It is home for more than 254 species of birds, not including other kinds of wildlife.

The Las Vegas National Wildlife Refuge is also open to the public seven days a week, from dawn until dusk.
