The Museum of New Mexico is a museum complex in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is home to four museums of various focuses and features, making it a great destination for both locals and tourists.

It features the New Mexico Museum of Art, Palace of the Governors or the New Mexico History Museum, the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture/Laboratory of Anthropology, and the Museum of International Folk Art. The New Mexico State Monuments department is also technically a part of this grouping, but since the sites are so far apart and out of Santa Fe, it’s all for technicality’s sake.

Some may find visiting all four museums at once can be quite overwhelming, so you may want to take it in moderation. Most folks will also recommend visiting on a Friday night, when admission is free.
