The National Museum of Nuclear Science and History is the only congressionally chartered museum in its filed in the nation. Providing a unique venue for learning about the Atomic Age, it starts from the early research of nuclear development through the use of current peaceful nuclear technology.

The Museums showcases exhibit areas like the Heritage Park, where visitors can see rockets, planes, cannons, missiles, and nuclear sub sails. There is also an Atomic and Pop culture area where visitors are entertained by viewing cultural items that surround the dawning of the Atomic Age. Every exhibit is appropriate for any age, from kids to adults.

A Smithsonian Affiliate Member, the Museum also hosts special exhibits, events, book signings, and summer camps for children.
