The National Solar Observatory is an astronomical observatory in Sunspot, New Mexico. It is dedicated to studying the sun as an astronomical object and an external influence on Earth.

Located at Sacramento Peak, the National Solar Observatory features the Dunn Solar Telescope, which has a de-rotated 100 meter vacuum column. The site is open during the day time to the public, where tours are available. Self-guided tours are available daily and brochures containing vital information about the site are made available, while the regular guided and private guided tours are scheduled and set in advance. The Apache Point Observatory is also located nearby, and it is open during the night time.

The National Solar Observatory is also home to the Sunspot Astronomy and Visitors Center.
