The Oasis State Park is a state park in Portales, New Mexico. It is a very unique spot, featuring an authentic oasis that is located on expansive grassy plains in the midst of cottonwood trees and shifting sand dunes.

The Oasis State Park was established in 1961. From its creation up until today, it has maintained its excellent beauty, featuring spectacular scenery that isn?t easy to find elsewhere. Among the top features of the Oasis State Park are its small fishing lake, prairie trails, and some camping grounds. The pond is popular for its rainbow trout during the winter months and channel catfish in the summer.

Although the centralized body of water that is surrounding the park is proven to be of poor quality, the Oasis State Park is still quite an interesting site to visit no matter what.
