The Pajarito Environmental Education Center is a nature center and an educational venue in Los Alamos, New Mexico. It is designed to inform the public about the environment and become sort of an exhibit area of local plants, animals, and geology.
Created to provide hands-on learning opportunities to the public, the Pajarito Environmental Education Center showcases the rich natural heritage of the area. Nestled between the Rio Grande Valley and the Pajarito Plateu, its location also provides additional charm to the place, providing natural diversity among other things.
Access to the Pajarito Environmental Education Center or PEEC is free. Visitors can explore the site or even participate in the different scheduled activities and events organized by the staff. They are open from Tuesday through Saturday.
