The Poeh Cultural Center Art Museum was established by the Pueblo of Pojoaque?s Tribal Council in 1988. The Center focuses on the arts and cultures of the people of Pueblo, specifically the Tewa-speaking Pueblos of Nambe, Pojoaque, San Juan, San Ildefonso, Tesuque, and Santa Clara as well as the Tiwa-speaking Picuris and Taos Pueblos.

The Center aims to support the future of the Pueblo people through teaching of the arts, collection of art works, and promotion of public understanding for the history and culture of Pueblo. It offers training and internship in arts as well as museum administration.

The Center is also known for its traditional Pueblo architecture and building techniques. It is made of adobe bricks and local wood products.
