The Roswell UFO Festival is a different kind of ?alien invasion?. During the festival, people dress up as aliens and vie for the Best Alien Costume Award. This annual event at the UFO City of Roswell invites over 50,000 people from all over to enjoy one of the most controversial ?sightings? ever which was the supposed UFO landing in 1947.

This 4-day event is held every July and features live music and entertainment, lots of food and talks by famous UFO enthusiasts. This year 2011, the Roswell UFO Festival will be held from July 1 to 4 and several activities will be featured in different locations around Roswell. Other activities that visitors can participate in are the ?Alien Chase?- a fun run for the whole family, Battle of the Bands, a barbecue cook-off, the Alien Costume Contest and the Passport Program where participants can win prizes.
