Spaceport America is a commercial spaceport located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It is best known for being the first purpose built commercial spaceport in the world, although the facilities aren’t complete yet. It is expected to be finished in 2011.

Despite still being under construction, Spaceport America now offers tours to those who are interested in its field of expertise. The tours will feature three-hour preview of the spaceport’s facilities.

What’s so special about Spaceport America is that it will give opportunities to the general public to go on suborbital flights, something that is not easily available nowadays. They will be offering such services by the start of 2012.
