The Toy Train Depot is a railroading history museum and tourist attraction in Alamogordo, New Mexico. It is more of a series of museums, being home to several of these sorts of venues that are mainly focused on trains and the railroading industry.

Touted as New Mexico?s first railroad museum, the Toy Train Depot is a great place to learn a lot about the industry?s history, heritage, and science. It features scale models of trains locomotives as well as passenger and freight cars. As of 2007, it has also become the new home of the Alamogordo McDonald?s full-sized, standard-gauge caboose.

Visitors can also find America?s Park Ride Train Museum in the Toy Train Depot. It is most famous for its Alamogordo/Alameda Park Narrow Gauge Railway, which is a functioning sixteen-inch gauge track rail line that visitors can actually ride.
