The White Sands National Monument is just about a thirty-minute drive away from Alamogordo in the southern part of New Mexico. This is where you will find an amazing landscape of dunes in gleaming white sand. These dunes can measure up to 60 feet high which are blown away by the wind constantly. It only takes some highly adaptive forms of life to stand to this kind of place and physical condition.

Experts have found plants of rare species to have lived here with its roots about 30 feet deep in the dunes. This is deep enough to uphold them in the midst of the constant movement of the dunes. A lot of the most competitive travelers consider this place so unique that it cannot be compared to anywhere else that you can find on Earth.
