Bargemusic, New York's floating concert hall, is home to musical experiences in a rebuilt coffee barge at Brooklyn Bridge. With just a small stage and a dramatic scenery of the East River, musicians entertain their guests at Bargemusic regularly. Their performances not only attract locals but it also refresh people on New York city's cultural life. Built in 1899, the coffee barge started serving the city with coffee for the railroad of Erie Lackawanna. Eventually it was converted to an entertainment hall which is now what is called Bargemusic.

Bargemusic, open four days a week, annually presents 220 concerts featuring chamber music. Along with paid concerts are community-free concerts every month. Olga Bloom, Bargemusic's founder and chairman, also had performances in the early days of the concert hall. Mark Peskanov, concert venue's executive director, performs every now and then with his violin. Bringing classical music to the heart of the city, Bargemusic would awaken the sense of culture of any local guest or even the foreign tourists.

Chamber musical experience at Bargemusic is open to any concertgoer. For students, tickets are available at $15 while regular price is at $35. Bargemusic uses a reservation system for tickets sales. The concert hall has events like the Neighborhood Family Concert. This runs for an hour of performance and an interaction between the musicians and the audience. Guests can ask questions to musicians during the event. Bargemusic also presents showcase concerts of various artists. Grammy-nominated performers are part of the list of people like the team Deoro.

Reserving a ticket at Bargemusic is done through email. Confirmations are also sent through emails. Bargemusic accepts either cash or checks for payment right at the door before entering. The concert venue also has gift tickets available for those who plan to give tickets as present to someone.
