Bethpage State Park is a state recreational facility famous for hosting the U.S. Open Championship in 2002 and 2009 on its world class golf courses in the state of New York.

Located in Old Bethpage, New York, the Bethpage State Park features 1,476 acres of recreational areas and facilities. The park contains picnic facilities, bridle paths, playing fields, playgrounds, a polo field, tennis courts, cross-country skiing trails, and trails for hiking and biking. However, the park is most popular for its golf facilities which feature five world class golf courses named Yellow, Green, Blue, Red, and Black courses.

The state park?s Black Course was the first publicly owned and operated course to host the U.S. Open. Unlike other comparable golf facilities which charge hundreds of dollars for greens fees, Bethpage?s courses are relatively more affordable.
