Camp Hero State park is a state park and recreational facility located in Montauk, New York.

This park, situated in an area formerly occupied by a military base namely the Montauk Air Force Station, is a site of many unique ecosystems and animal habitats. The parts of the former base that were environmentally sensitive were given to the national park service in 1984.

Since the American Revolution, Montauk has been considered an important strategic location as midpoint between two major cities of the United States, thus the United States military has always stationed observation facilities in the area to guard against an any invasion or intrusion into United States Territory.

Today, the park features surf fishing, an extensive system of trails, picnic areas, and pristine maritime forests and freshwater wetlands.
