Believed to be America?s smallest church, Cross Island Chapel only measures a floor area of 51 by 81 inches, which is roughly 27 square feet in total. It can only accommodate 3 people, including the minister.

Cross Island Chapel is a non-denominational church. It is also in the middle of a pond, so access to it is only limited to people on boats. Built in 1989, it is open to the public by request. It has already held wedding ceremonies in the past, although, the church only accommodated the couple and the minister. The entourage was on boats, while the spectators had to wait on shore.
