Arguably one of the most well-known thoroughfares not just in the United States but in the entire world as well, Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, New York City is a haven for both who are looking for beautiful real estate properties as well as the most coveted fashion brands in the world. Its section which traverses Midtown Manhattan, more specifically the part in the middle of 49th Street and 60th Street is flanked with shops that are nothing less than luxurious. Since the dawn of the mid-1990s, the retail nirvana found at the center of 49th and 57th streets has been holding the most costly shop space per square foot internationally. In fact, Forbes magazine dubbed Fifth Avenue as the most expensive street globally.

Visitors will often see New York?s and the world?s elite roaming around Fifth Avenue moving from store to store ? from Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Fendi and many more. Almost all designer brands have a boutique at Fifth Avenue. Aside from these boutiques, luxury department stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Barney and Saks Fifth Avenue can be found here. It is also the setting of the Apple Store, which is the most photographed structure in NYC. Likewise, there is no shortage of shiny expensive things at Fifth Avenue teeming with stores such as Harry Winston, Tiffany and Company, Cartier and Bulgari. Kids will definitely enjoy at FAO Schwartz, which is the one of the biggest and extensive toy stores in the entire world.

Apart from being a shopping utopia, there are also several art institutes and museums found at Fifth Avenue. The section which is found in the middle of 82nd and 104th Streets is called the ?Museum Mile. Some of the notable museum art buffs could visit while in between their shopping sprees are: Museum of the City of New York, the Guggenheim Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Academy Museum, the Frick Collections, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum and the Jewish Museum.

Aside from the museums and the busting retail space, there are a lot of other attractions that guests will be able to enjoy while strolling at Fifth Avenue. These include the grand St. Patrick?s Cathedral ? a gothic inspired church which serves as the home of the Archbishop of New York. Another architectural attraction along Fifth Avenue is The Plaza, one of the city?s most popular hotels which has been the preferred New York City accommodation for many presidents as well as celebrities such as The Beatles. There are also numerous iconic NYC buildings lining Fifth Avenue such as the Empire State Building, the unique Flatiron Building, the Trump Tower and the beautiful Rockefeller Center.
