Hempstead Lake State Park is multiple purpose state recreational facility and park located in West Hempstead, New York.

The Hempstead Lake State Park contains a variety of amenities and facilities that can be used by park visitors. There are children’s playgrounds, biking trails, hiking paths, bridle trails for those who wish to go horseback riding. Sporting activities are also available in the park. Sports facilities include twenty tennis courts and basketball courts. Another important feature of the park is its historic wooden hard-carved carousel. Pavilions and party rooms are also available in the park through the park permits department.

Other notable features of the park include three ponds and access to Hempstead lake for fishing on land and by using car top boats.
