Located in a three thousand acre property in Orange County, the Highland Lakes State park is a state park in Bear Mountain, New York.

The core of the park was the location of the old all boys Newburg YMCA residence camp named Camp Orange. The camp which last operated in 1973 was closed down and all of its buildings were demolished. Only small ruins including those of the main dining hall and the swimming pool are visible today.

The activities available in the park include hiking, fishing, and bridle path for horseback riding. The park is also known as a haven for model aircraft fliers and pilots as well as other remote controlled devices. There are no services or restrooms in the park as it is maintained as an undeveloped park.
