The Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum features Noguchi?s sculptures incorporated in an environment designed by the same artist.
Isamu Noguchi is one of today?s most critically acclaimed sculptors. His works are both subtle and bold, and traditional and modern, setting a new standard for the arts. He is able to create gardens, sculptures, lighting and furniture as a result of a lifetime artistic experimentation. Being able to travel all the time, he is able to maximize use of other techniques and materials such as marble from Italy and subtle ink brush Chinese techniques. His works make use of a variety of materials including cast iron, stainless steel, sheet aluminium, and granite.
His museum in Long Island, New York features both indoor and outdoor exhibits, a museum cafe and a shop. Special programs and guided tours are also available to visitors.
