The Kingston Trolley Museum sits on the original site of the Ulster and Delaware Railroad yards at Milepost 1. The main building uses the foundation of the engine house, which had existed since the turn of the century. The museum?s upper level houses a Visitors Center that features seasonal and permanent displays. Visitors can also enjoy the video viewing area and a spots where they can view the restoration shop through large windows.

The Museum is open on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays. It also holds special, holiday, and annual events. There is an admission fee for visitors, which already includes a trolley ride and museum tour, which allows visitors to ride long the majestic Hudson River and see antique trolleys. The trolley also stops at the West Strand Park where there are available picnic tables.
