The Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is comprised of several buildings with a total land area of 16.3 acre making it the world?s largest cultural facility. It is also the pioneering and largest performing arts complex in USA. The complex was build during the 1950?s and the 1960?s under the ?Lincoln Square Renewal Project.?

The Lincoln Center for the performing Arts houses several performance facilities including: Alice Truly Hall, a concert hall that can accommodate 1095 people); Avery Fisher Hall, a 2,738-seater symphony hall); The Metropolitan Opera House which can accommodate 3,900 spectators; the David H. Koch Theatre where many Broadway classics were restaged; the 268-seater Walter Reade Theatre; and the Jazz at Lincoln Center where music enthusiasts can wonder at amazing performances throughout the year.

The Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is also home for 12 performing arts organizations which represent the cream of the crop in the performing arts arena. Likewise, the complex is adorned with the several art and architecture masterpieces created in the past and current centuries.
