The Sci-Tech Center of Northern New York, established in 1983, is a hands-on museum of science and technology that operates throughout the year. It features over 40 interactive exhibits that are designed to impress and raise the curiosity as well as the imagination of its visitors.

The 3,600-foot facility operates as the only hands-on science museum located in Northern New York. It aims to develop exhibits that would provide opportunities for interaction and participation as well as demonstrations and other programs related to the basic sciences and their technological uses and applications. The Museum also provides visitors an opportunity to undergo hands-on experiences with natural phenomena and other man-made devices. It allows the parents to communicate to the public a better understanding and greater appreciation of science and its derived technology.

Because of its many purpose, numerous programs and activities that complement and support the displays are offered as well. The Sci-Tech Center developed and maintained these endeavors, establishing the Museum as an educational and cultural resource for every visitor.
