The NYC Stone Wall Inn is more than just a place to wine and dine when you get to the Big Apple. Among other things, it’s a historical landmark, being the site where gay rights had been upheld in a riotous event in June 28, 1969. Now, that momentous event is commemorated every year by the city’s gay population with a weekend filled with parades and festivities.

Over the years, it had also served as a source of inspiration for Hollywood movies and other works of fiction. A 1995 movie entitled Stonewall had been loosely based on the 1969 riots. The movie Jeffrey, filmed in 1995 and featured Patrick Stewart, had one of its scenes shot outside the inn.

Fondly called as plain “Stonewall”, the inn had undergone extensive renovations in 2007. If you’re throwing a party at the NYC, the Stonewall Inn is available for venue rentals. It offers all its entertainment rooms for your use and has catering services available as well whenever needed.
