The Asa Biggs House is a historic house museum in Williamston, North Carolina. It is focused on the life and times of Asa Biggs, one of the state’s most noted jurist and politician

Asa Biggs was a North Carolina politician who served as a US Congressman, senator, and federal judge during the 1800s. The Asa Biggs House was his residence from its completion in 1831 and until he fled with his family in 1862 to avoid the Union troops’ invasion.

The Asa Biggs House is an antebellum house that is believed to be expanded and enlarged a couple of times. Some say that Biggs added extra room in the house every time one of his ten children was born.

Today, the Asa Biggs House is a museum that contains numerous artifacts that are related to the life of Biggs in the house. Some items are from the family, recovered from their descendants.
