If you?re sick and tired the same old museums then you need to pay a visit to the North Carolina Belhaven Memorial Museums. Unlike most museums, this place pays homage to the best and the strangest of strange things.

Many of the artefacts on display belong to the legendary Eva Blount Way, a woman made famous by her eccentricities and inability to throw any of her items away. Upon her death in 1962, her possessions had been transferred to the museum three years later.

Among those in display at the museum include Mrs. Way?s trio of jar-contained prenatal babies, which she had received from the town doctor. There?s also the dress worn by a 700lb local woman and yes, she?s that woman you heard who had to be craned out through the bedroom window.
