The Caldwell Heritage Museum is a local history museum in Lenoir, North Carolina. It preserves and chronicles the history of the Caldwell County so future generations can still learn about it. It features a chronological telling of the county?s history.
The Caldwell Heritage Museum was opened in 1991 and was immediately housed in the last remaining building of the old Davenport College. The structure was about to be demolished and the Caldwell County Historical Society decided to ask the county?s school board to lease the property instead. They were granted a lease agreement, which led to the formation of the site.
The Caldwell Heritage Museum chronicles the area?s history through musical, medical, and military artifacts. There are also a collection of historic cameras available on the site.
