The Carolina Beach State Park offers a lot of things that can be found in a regular state park. It features the beautiful Pleasure Island at the mouth of the Cape Fear River as a main focal point. It offers a secluded camping area, tucked away in towering trees, hiking trails that allow views of a variety of habitats, and the best fishing spots. It is also home to some variety of the Venus flytrap, which is one of the most unique carnivorous plants in the planet.
The Carolina Beach State Park is open from November to August every year.
