The Carolina Theatre of Durham is a performing arts and movie venue in Durham, North Carolina. It is highly acclaimed for its grandiose and dedication to promoting and preserving the arts.

Built in 1962, the Carolina Theatre of Durham is composed of a 1016-seater auditorium known as the Fletcher Hall and two art cinemas. The Fletcher Hall commonly hosts big live performances and other events that require such big seating capacities. These three theatres also show films, mostly independent and foreign films. However, they also occasionally show blockbusters and big budgeted Hollywood films as well from time to time.

Most patrons review the Beaux Arts style Carolina Theatre with high ratings for its ?old time? and ?classy? movie feel. It was also voted Best in the Triangle in the Best of the Triangle 2011 Indy Poll.
