The Chinqua Penn Plantation is a historic plantation in Reidsville, North Carolina. It features the English manor built by Thomas Jefferson Penn, a tobacco executive, for his family.

The Chinqua Penn Plantation was built in the 1920s. As “Jeff” Penn found it, the area was the most suitable to house his and his wife’s collections. The mansion was named after the chinquapins, a variety of the American chestnut that was once surrounding the area in abundance.

Today, the Chinqua Penn Plantation is a well known tourist attraction. The well preserved mansion ranks high among the most intact 20th century homes in the state, alongside the Reynolda House and Duke Mansion. It features the couple’s collections of artworks, furniture, and other items that they have collected from their travels. The house is also surrounded by a 22 acre garden.
