The Creekside Park is a beautiful public park in Grifton, North Carolina. It was established in the early 2000s, after the Hurricane Floyd destroyed the houses along the sides of the creek. The area became unsuitable for permanent housing structures, so the town government decided to take the place and turn it into a recreational venue.

The Creekside Park is also a historic area. As the town of Grifton grew on both sides of the Contentnea Creek, the waterway has also played a part in the development. It became a major means of transportation and has once had a flourishing ferry and steamboat industry.

Today, the Creekside Park is used for recreational activities. It is most suitable for camping, picnicking, and other activities.
