Cypress Grill is a popular tourist destination in Jamesville, North Carolina. It is actually a seasonal restaurant, patterned after the traditional fishing shacks where the locals of the county of Martin used to gather and socialize.

Named quite literally, since the shack is actually made of cypress wood and the area is filled with cypress trees, the Cypress Grill has been attracting people from all over the country every year when it opens its doors to visitors during the months of January through April. They serve excellent fish dishes, but their most popular delicacy is the river herring. Their homemade pies are also some of the most popular things to try.

Located along the Roanoke River, the Cypress Grill is something to try if you want to sample some traditional North Carolina cuisine.
