The Dixon House is a historic home in New Bern, North Carolina. It is best noted for being a great example of the area?s lifestyle during the early years of the 19th century, when New Bern was still a prosperous port and the one of the largest cities in the state.

The Dixon House was built in 1828 for George W. Dixon, a former mayor of the city and a merchant tailor. The lot was originally a part of the Tryon Palace, it was acquired years after the Palace burned in 1798. It was also used as a hospital during the Civil War and then as a residence again afterwards.

The Dixon House is now open to the public with neo classic furnishings that date back from the late 1700s to mid 1800s.
