The Elizabeth Lawrence House and Garden is a historic home and garden in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is best noted for being the home of Elizabeth Lawrence, a celebrated garden writer and plantswoman, from 1949 to 1984.
The Elizabeth Lawrence House and Garden played a large role in the career of Lawrence. It is where she penned a couple of her acclaimed books, “The Little Bulbs: A Tale of Two Gardens” and the “Gardens in Winter.” She also built a beautiful garden in the property, which is one of the reasons why it is such a place of note in the city today.
