The Fayetteville Independent Light Infantry Armory and Museum is a history museum focused on the heritage of the Fayetteville Independent Light Infantry Company. This museum in Fayetteville, North Carolina honors and commemorates the centuries old tradition and existence of the oldest militia unit in the south.

The Fayetteville Independent Light Infantry Company was organized in 1793 as a result of the enactment of the Militia Act under President George Washington. Since the late 18th century, in has been in service, providing the necessary accomplishments and completing specific tasks. During the Civil War, it took over the Fayetteville Arsenal for the Confederate forces. It is also still an active unit today, albeit ceremonial, as the state?s official historic military command.
