The Flat Rock Play House is a theatre venue in Flat Rock, North Carolina. It is dubbed as the ?State Theatre of North Carolina?, and is one of the Top Ten Theatres in the Country.

The Flat Rock Play House was created in 1952, when the Vagabond Players reorganized their group and bought an 8 acre lot in the area. With the region?s growth, the Playhouse also saw a lot of improvements. By 1961, the site was designated as the State Theatre of North Carolina through an Act of the NC General Assembly.

Still true to its roots and tradition, the Flat Rock Play House still hosts and holds a series of Broadway quality performances. It is open from May through mid October.
