The Ghost Town in the Sky is an amusement park in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. It has a Wild West theme and is wonderfully accented by the Smoky Mountains as its backdrop.

The Ghost Town in the Sky is a great stop if you’re looking for something that is not too common and usual. Being located on top of a mountain, the trip going to the site proper is already an experience in itself. It can only be accessed by visitors through a 3370 foot long chair lift or by taking a furnicular railway. It features several interesting attractions, designated by its different “towns” or sections. But like other amusement parks, they also have bumper cars, paratrooper, merry go round, round up, train, and a roller coaster among many others.
