Also known as the Granville County Historical Society Museum, the Granville County Museum is a local history museum located in Oxford, North Carolina. It focuses on the area?s rich heritage and history.

Established in 1996 by the Granville County Historical Society, the Granville County Museum opened a couple of years after the historic 1860 jail was acquired by the association. However, due to the lack of space, the museum was moved to a new location in the Harris Exhibit Hall in 2000.

The Granville County Museum features a great number of different displays depicting and chronicling every aspect of life in the county of Granville. They have exhibits from the time of the Native Americans to the recent developments in the area.
